RC Invite Tournament, May 12-13, (Antigonish, NS -- more details)
A tryout fee of $40 will be collected at the first tryout date for all four tryout sessions. These fees cover the turf rental costs. RC Invite tournament fees are yet to be determined but will likely be around $25 per player (not including lodging, meals, and transportation).
All men ultimate players are welcome to attend tryouts and the tournament, even if you are not planning on playing with the team this season. For full details on the upcoming season, including tournament schedule and what is required of players, check out the 2012 Season Overview.
If you haven't been participating in the clinics or the HURL indoor open league, now is the time to pick up a disc and get running. RC tryouts has featured fast paced, high intensity play from participating players in recent years and we expect no less this year.

The indoor men's league was a hit last spring and will be returning again this year (details coming soon). To complement it, Red Circus (RC) with the support of Halifax Ultimate, will be leading men’s competitive skills clinics throughout March and April in the new indoor turf Soccer Nova Scotia facility. The clinics are open to all male players and offer a great way to improve your Ultimate skills, learn from experienced players, and take your game to the next level.
RC has committed to help develop the skills of male players with the goal of attracting new players to touring teams. It is our hope that through participation in such clinics, players can gain better insight into the game of Ultimate, increase their skills, and benefit from playing the sport in a more structured environment.
The clinics are open to all interested male players, but we would really love to see players who are considering playing on touring teams now or in the near future. Players that may be hesitant about taking the next step are encouraged to join in to learn from more experienced players who are ready and willing to share their knowledge and experience.
Each 2-hour clinic will contain the following elements:
Warm-up
Focused drills adjusted accordingly to the skill of the players present, with the goal to develop fundamentals and ultimate specific skills. This will include discussions on the in game applications of these skills and how they relate to on field results.
Scrimmages to implement what was learned from the drills on the given night, with a strong focus on teaching and mentoring.
