Play with us at Sectionals in Brunswick, ME (posted on August 22, 2011)

Due to the long season and fall commitments kicking in again, RC only has 12 (out of 24) guys available to attend Sectionals (in Brunswick, ME -- Sept. 24/25). As a result, we are inviting all guys (Blue Carnival, Juniors, Masters, new guys, etc) to come out to practices starting this Wednesday, Aug 24 6-8pm at Don Bayer Sport Field (aka Leon's), practice twice per week for the next five weeks, and join us for Sectionals. There are 10 spots available on the roster, so your chances are good. If you are not interested in joining us at Sectionals, you're still more than welcome to come out and practice with us.

Sectionals is an excellent tournament and a privilege to attend. Last year we played teams ranging from Ubuntu, a team we should have beaten, and Ironside, a team who beat us and went on to finish 2nd at the USAU Championships. If you've been considering playing in an open tournament, this is a great opportunity.

Also, the men from Spawn are putting a New Brunswick open team together for Sectionals and are looking to scrimmage with us sometime before Sectionals, so stay tuned for that.

2011 Tryouts (posted on April 06, 2011)

This year the Red Circus (RC) club will pushing to develop two teams to compete at the 2011 CUC in Ottawa. As in previous years, the RC team will be the club's primary focus, working to better our performance at Boston Invite, No Borders (Ottawa), CUC, and UPA series. However, the club will also fully support Blue Carnival (BC), a team for aspiring RC players and players who cannot commit to the RC schedule. For full details on the upcoming season, including tournament schedule checkout the 2011 Season Overview.

The tryout dates are as follows:

The 3rd tryout will be closed/invite-only so the captains can get a better look at those players who are on the cusp of making RC to start the year. The 4th tryout will bring everyone out again one last time before the RC tournament that weekend. It is possible for a player who wasn't invited to the 3rd tryout to elevate their game in the 4th tryout and at the tournament and make RC.

If you are unable to attend any of the four tryouts, please let the captains know (rcultimate@gmail.com). If you are unable to make the RC Invitational tryout tournament, attendance at the first four tryouts is mandatory.

A tryout fee of $30 will be collected at the first tryout date which will guarantee three tryout sessions. A further fee of $10 will be incurred for those players attending the closed/invite-only session. These fees cover the turf rental costs. RC Invitational tournament fees are yet to be determined.
